Easy Order Banners is the best place for custom made Large Format Mesh Banners!
9 oz. Large Mesh Vinyl Banners are ideal for windy outdoor conditions. Our mesh signs are 75/25 (75% printable surface, 25% air pass through). The tiny holes allow air to flow through the banner with minimal tension on the mounting points. The movement and resistance is greatly reduced, and the risk of wind tearing the mesh sign material is minimized, making them perfect for use on construction projects, scaffolding, or bridges where high winds are common.
Why 9 oz Mesh?
The 9 oz weight hits the optimal balance for outdoor mesh banners. Lighter 7 oz mesh fades faster and loses structural integrity in UV-heavy climates. Heavier 13 oz mesh reduces the wind-load benefit that makes mesh worth choosing in the first place. Our 9 oz 75/25 specification delivers sharp, full-color printing with roughly 45% less wind force than an equivalent solid vinyl banner.
Grommet Spacing
All EOB mesh banners ship with rust-proof grommets pre-installed (standard #2 banner grommet, 3/8 in. ID, 13/16 in. OD). Standard spacing is every 24 inches for banners under 4 feet tall, every 18 inches for banners 4 to 8 feet tall, and every 12 inches for large banners or high-wind coastal and rooftop installations. Custom spacing is available at no extra charge; select it in the order notes.
Ideal Uses
- Construction fence wraps and job site perimeter signage
- Scaffolding and multi-story building wraps
- Highway overpass and bridge banners

Reinforced Webbing and D-Ring Corners (Optional Upgrade)
For large oversized mesh banners, we strongly recommend adding reinforced webbing and D-ring corners. Here is what they are and why they matter:
Reinforced Webbing is a heavy-duty nylon strap material sewn into the hem of the banner along the edges. Standard banner hems are reinforced at the fold, but webbing adds a second layer of tensile strength running along every edge. Under wind load, the force on a large mesh banner is enormous. Without webbing, that force concentrates at each grommet hole and can cause the vinyl to tear from the inside out. With webbing sewn into the hem, the load is distributed along the entire edge rather than at individual points, dramatically reducing the risk of tearing.
D-Ring Corners are metal rings attached at each corner of the banner through the reinforced hem. They provide a secure, low-profile anchor point for tie-down lines, bungee cords, or cable ties. Corner attachment points experience the highest stress of any point on a large banner, and D-rings handle that load far better than a standard corner grommet alone.
These are not included as standard. They are an optional upgrade at checkout. For any installation above 300 sq ft, on a rooftop, coastal location, or anywhere with sustained wind, we consider them essential.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between mesh banners and vinyl banners?
Vinyl banners are solid material, excellent for most outdoor uses, but in high winds they act like a sail and can tear or pull loose at the mounting points. Mesh banners have tiny perforations that allow air to pass through, cutting wind load by roughly 45%. Choose mesh any time wind is a consistent factor at your installation site.
What size mesh banner do I need for a construction fence or building wrap?
Construction fence wraps typically run 4 to 8 feet tall and span 50 to 200 or more linear feet. Multi-story building wraps can easily exceed 300 sq ft. We handle both. Discounts apply automatically above 300 sq ft, and we can quote custom oversized jobs. Give us your fence length and height and we will size it out for you.
Can I print full color on mesh material?
Yes. Our 9 oz mesh accepts full-color UV printing across the 75% solid surface area. Colors are vibrant and outdoor-rated. At normal viewing distance the small perforations are not visible and the printed image reads as solid.
How are the grommets spaced, and what about webbing and D-rings?
Standard spacing is every 24 inches for banners under 4 feet tall, every 18 inches for 4 to 8 foot banners, and every 12 inches for high-wind or coastal installations. Custom spacing is available at no charge; note it in your order. For large oversized banners, we recommend adding the reinforced webbing and D-ring corner upgrade. The webbing distributes wind load along the full hem edge rather than concentrating stress at each grommet hole, and D-rings provide secure corner anchor points. See the section above for a full explanation.
Do mesh banners work for indoor events?
Mesh is built for outdoor, high-wind installations and is not the right choice for indoor trade shows or events. For indoor displays, retractable banner stands or fabric banners are a better fit. See our banner stands for portable indoor display options.
